United Colleges Group has announced a new \u00a3140m campus in Brent, London.<\/p>\n
The group, which was formed by the merger of the College of North West London and City of Westminster College, has acquired the Olympic Office Centre site in Wembley for its new campus.<\/p>\n
The new facility will focus on providing \u2018green skills\u2019 in engineering and the built environment, in addition to training in digital technology, computing, health and social care.<\/p>\n
United Colleges Group\u2019s chief executive Stephen Davis said: \u201cWith its focus on green skills and emerging technologies, we are also pleased to say that our new location will enable us not just to provide a boost to the present generation but will do so for many generations to come.\u201d<\/p>\n
The College of North West London has a construction skills campus in Kings Cross, which Carillion built in 2008.<\/p>\n
There has been significant investment in building further education buildings in recent years. Earlier this year Laing O’Rourke secured the contract for a \u00a3150m humanities building for Oxford University<\/a>, and late last year Morgan Sindall was chosen to build<\/a> an engineering block for the University of Hertfordshire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" United Colleges Group has announced a new \u00a3140m campus in Brent, London.
