Clancy has landed a \u00a3250m deal to deliver reactive and proactive repair services for Southern Water.<\/p>\n
The agreement will see the Middlesex-based contractor respond to emergency calls, support leakage reduction, work with housing developers and businesses, and install water meters.<\/p>\n
The contract covers the AMP8 control period, beginning this October and lasting until 2030.<\/p>\n
A company spokesperson confirmed to Construction News <\/em>that the latest contract is unrelated to Clancy\u2019s involvement in a \u00a33.7bn framework announced by Southern Water last August.<\/a><\/p>\n Under the new contract, Clancy will be responsible for driving performance improvements and providing solutions to meet growing demand on the network while delivering value for money for customers.<\/p>\n Ronan Clancy, executive director at Clancy, said that Southern Water was \u201crightly prioritising\u201d performance as the new control period got underway.<\/p>\n \u201cOur decades of experience in water, and our culture of reimagining delivery through new approaches, tools and techniques, makes us well placed to support Southern Water in shoring up and expanding its network while maximising value for money and minimising disruption for its customers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Stephanie Davidovitz, head of water networks at Southern Water, said the agreement prepared Clancy to meet service levels expected by customers and to deliver on its performance commitments for years to come.<\/p>\n \u201cWe challenged all companies bidding to work with us\u202fto provide value, efficiency and innovative ideas across a range of areas, and we look forward to a step change in performance as a result of the robust process,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
